Statement on Dodd Banking Committee Decision

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) issued the following statement on Senator Dodd’s announcement that he will remain Chair of the Senate Banking Committee.

“Senator Dodd’s decision to remain Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee is great news for Connecticut. He has been a tireless leader on important consumer issues ranging from preventing housing foreclosures to protecting consumers from unethical credit card and lending practices. Too many Americans have lost their jobs, homes, and savings as a result of our current financial crisis, and many more remain at risk.

We need proven leaders like Senator Dodd at the helm of the Banking Committee to move forward with much needed, commonsense reforms of our financial sector.“
