New Haven - Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (Conn. - 3) today released the following statement on former Governor Rowland pleading guilty in U.S. District Court in New Haven.

"Elected officials should represent the values of the people who put them in office. By accepting responsibility for his political indiscretions today, the former governor proved he was not representing the values of the people of Connecticut.

"While we are all disappointed by the former governor, today Connecticut is one step closer to ending this sad chapter in our state's history."
