Out-Of-PocketCosts Will Be Further Reduced By Tax Credits

HARTFORD,CT—Connecticut's Congressional Delegation today applauded the release ofapproved health insurance plans to be sold on the Access Health CT marketplace.Connecticut residents can begin shopping on the marketplace, established by thelandmark Affordable Care Act, October 1. These rates are the cost of healthinsurance before tax credits available to individuals and familiespurchasing their own health insurance policies. For example, families of fourwith incomes up to $94,200 a year will be eligible for tax credits to help payfor health insurance. Individuals with qualifying income levels are alsoeligible for tax credits.

"Today'sannouncement is further proof that health care reform is working for residentsacross Connecticut. People who currently cannot afford insurance willparticularly benefit from reduced costs that resulted from the rate reviewprocess and the tax credits that will make health care even more affordable,for both individuals and small businesses.
