Instead of extending Affordable Care Act (ACA) premium subsidies that help more than 143,000 people in Connecticut purchase health coverage through AccessHealth CT, the extreme right has shut down the government. Americans are already struggling with the cost of living, increasing premiums will put families in a difficult position to choose between essentials and health care.
