Resources for People with Disabilities

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) became law on July 26, 1990. The ADA provides comprehensive nondiscrimination protection for individuals with disabilities in employment, public services, public accommodations, transportation, and telecommunications, as well as services operated by private entities. However, there are still barriers for people with disabilities, especially in full employment and independent living.
