DeLauro Announces $2.5 Million for Middletown Transit Upgrade

New Haven, CT—Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (CT-3) announced today that a $2.5 million Department of Transportation grant has been awarded to the Middletown Transit District (MTD) to improve the bus services for the city. These funds will enable the Middletown Transit District to purchase a building for use as a dispatch facility, maintain their fleet of vehicles and training for employees.

"I am very pleased that Middletown has been selected to receive these funds, which will enable the city to better serve its residents' transportation needs," said Congresswoman DeLauro. "By improving their services and obtaining a central facility for dispatch, the Middletown Transit District will facilitate growth and enterprise in our region."
