DeLauro Announces $3.6 Million Grant for Tweed-New Haven Airport
Washington, DC – Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (CT-3) announced today that the Tweed-New Haven Airport will be receiving a federal grant in the amount of $3,671,818. The funds will be used to repair and improve one of the airport's runways, making it safer, more efficient, and easier for air traffic to fly in and out of Tweed.
Congresswoman DeLauro said, "The Tweed-New Haven Airport is one of the top regional airports in the country and a great economic asset to our community. These funds will improve the airport's quality and safety, and enable it to continue its role as a vital source of commerce for the surrounding communities.
