DeLauro Announces Congressional Staff Changes
WASHINGTON, DC — Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) announced today that Chief of Staff Beverly Pheto will be leaving her staff to retire. DeLauro named Leticia Mederos—who served as Director of Labor Policy for the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee and Ranking Member Patty Murray (D-WA), as well as DeLauro's former Chief of Staff— to be her new Chief of Staff.
"While I am sad to see Beverly leave our team after more than five years of tremendous leadership, I wish her the best of luck on her next journey—including the boundless joy of becoming a grandmother. Additionally, I am pleased to announce that Leticia Mederos will be taking over as Chief of Staff. Leticia served the people of Connecticut's Third District well for nearly a decade on my staff given her commitment to working families and passion for implementing good ideas. I am excited to welcome her back to the team."
