The House of Representatives is slated to vote on thelegislation today.

"This blatantly unconstitutionallegislation threatens the health and basic rights of women all over America.Right now, we should be working to create jobs and grow the economy. Instead, here we are again with the Majority trying to insert their extreme and divisiveideological preferences into law. This bill puts the federal governmentsquarely between a woman and her doctor. It attempts to ban virtually allabortion after 20 weeks, clearly violates the Constitution and has already beenstruck down in its sponsor's home state of Arizona. I urge all of my colleaguesto oppose the bill."
