DeLauro Applauds Grant for Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven
WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) todayapplauded the announcement that Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven,Inc. is being awarded a $92,275 grant from NeighborWorks America. The funds arebeing used to support Neighborhood Housing Service of New Haven's mission ofrevitalizing New Haven's neighborhoods.
"Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven has played apositive role in New Haven for more than three decades, and it is great to seeits great work rewarded with this grant," said DeLauro. "NHS has revitalizedneighborhoods and refurbished homes in the parts of our city that need it most,and it has changed lives: providing residents with education about homeownership, and communities with the opportunity to grow stronger by takingcharge of their own homes and neighborhoods. I look forward to the continuedgood work of NHS in New Haven, and I thank NeighborWorks America for providingNHS with its support."
