DeLauro Applauds Passage of House Resolution Requiring Members of Congress, Staff to Complete Sexual Harassment Training

November 29, 2017

Washington, D.C. (November 29, 2017) — Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) released the following statement in response to the unanimous passage of a House Resolution requiring each Member of Congress and their staff members to complete sexual harassment training. DeLauro was a cosponsor of the Resolution.

"The House Resolution that passed today that requires Members of Congress and their staff to complete anti-harassment and anti-discrimination training is a positive development following the wave of women and men that have bravely stood up and shared their stories. Yet this resolution must only be the first step of many toward eradicating sexual harassment. For too long, unacceptable behavior has been tacitly accepted in our nation's workplaces, and Congress is no exception. In that spirit, we must seize this opportunity to rid our workplaces of harassment and discrimination of all kinds."
