Applauds Quinnipiac Team on Season for the Ages

WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) releasedthe following statement today applauding the Yale and Quinnipiac men's icehockey team on their recently-completed seasons. DeLauro represents both NewHaven, home of Yale, and Hamden, home of Quinnipiac.

"Congratulations are in order for both the Yale andQuinnipiac men's hockey teams on their amazing seasons. Yale's first NCAAchampionship in over 50 years, in any sport, came only after battling through atough bracket and defeating national powerhouses to make the title game.Quinnipiac did their community proud, winning the school's first Division Itournament games ever and playing their hearts out. This weekend, the eyes ofthe college hockey world were focused on Connecticut and I could not be anyprouder to represent such fine institutions and teams."
