DeLauro Statement on Deaths of Judi Weinstein and Gadi Haggai

Today, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) released a statement on the deaths of married couple Gadi Haggai and Judi Weinstein. 

 “My heart breaks for Gadi Haggai and Judi Weinstein, Israeli Americans who were held hostage by Hamas and died while in captivity. I am praying for their four children, seven grandchildren, and the loved ones who are grieving the loss of Gadi and Judi. I am committed to doing everything within my power to reunite families and release the hostages currently held by Hamas. 

“No family should have to live through losing their loved ones to terrorist violence. I have met twice with families of hostages and have heard firsthand how they fear for their well-being. They worry that they will not return home, and this fear is only exacerbated when they learn other families will never get to hold their loved ones again.

“This horror must end. Hamas must release the remaining hostages they are holding immediately.”
