DeLauro Statement on Passing of Former Senator Arlen Specter
NEWHAVEN, CT—Representative Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) released the following statementtoday on the passing of former Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter:
"SenatorArlen Specter will be remembered as a strong supporter of biomedical research,an independent mind, and a thoughtful and serious legislator. He was atrue fighter, always putting the best interests of Pennsylvania and the countryfirst, whether he was serving as senator or an assistant district attorney inPhiladelphia. His work passing the Americans with Disabilities Act wasgroundbreaking and leaves a lasting legacy that has helped millions ofAmericans, and will continue to do so for years to come.
