DeLauro Statement on the Passing of New Jersey Senator Frank Lautenberg

WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) releasedthe following statement today on the passing of New Jersey Senator FrankLautenberg:

"Today marks the end of an era with the passing of SenatorFrank Lautenberg, the last World War II veteran serving in the Senate. He was atrue hero, working for the American people's best interests in a wide range ofissues, including protecting public health, especially that of women, transportationsafety, and preventing gun violence. It was an honor to have Frank's supportdating back to my first run for Congress, and I treasured his friendship.
