DeLauro Statement on the Passing of Woodbridge First Selectman Ed Sheehy

WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) releasedthe following statement today on the passing of The Honorable Ed Sheehy, FirstSelectman of Woodbridge:

"I was deeply saddened by the news of Ed's sudden passingand extend my heartfelt condolences to his wife, Eleanor, and theirfamily. Ed was not only a remarkable public servant, but more importantlya dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather. His work in thecommunity, both as a member of the Board of Selectman as well as a civic leader,touched the lives of thousands and enriched the Woodbridge community incountless ways. Ed was an extraordinary person and I considered myselffortunate to call him my friend. He was taken from us much too soon andwill be deeply missed by many."
