DeLauro Statement on President Trump Sabotaging Affordable Care Act Enrollment for 2018

WASHINGTON, DC (September 1, 2017) — Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) today released the following statement regarding the Trump administration's decision to cut the Affordable Care Act's outreach and advertising by 90 percent.

"Once again, President Trump is actively sabotaging the Affordable Care Act and denying Americans' health coverage. His administration's decision to cut $90 million from outreach and advertising is indefensible: why would we want fewer people to learn about their options for coverage? It makes no sense."

"Instead of undermining the Affordable Care Act, the President and Congressional Republicans should get to work with Democrats on strengthening and improving healthcare for all Americans."
