DELAURO ON STORM RECOVERY INFORMATION

October 31, 2011

New Haven, CT – Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (CT-3) urged Connecticut residents to take caution in the aftermath of this weekend's winter storm, and issued the following statement:

"As we work to recover from this storm, it is critical that Connecticut residents continue to be cautious, especially as downed power lines are repaired and power is restored. Residents should also be aware of the assistance that is available, especially emergency shelters. As I saw in Middletown last night, many of our towns are still without power and these emergency shelters are a critical lifeline. I urge residents to take the necessary precautions to keep their families safe, and ask that anyone with concerns contact my office for assistance at (203) 562-3718 or at www.delauro.house.gov."
