DeLauro Visits Test Logic, Inc. to Highlight CT’s Manufacturing Industry
Middletown Company is Adding Jobs, Expanding into Exports
Middletown, CT—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) visited Test Logic, Inc. in Middletown today to highlight the importance of manufacturing to Connecticut’s economic growth.
“Manufacturing has always been the lynchpin of not just our state economy, but the national economy,” DeLauro said. “We have to become a country that builds things again, rather than one that just buys things overseas. Test Logic is so important to that effort and the fact they recently won a contract that will allow them to start exporting their products is really a great step towards making this a reality. We know that in a global economy when companies like Test Logic branch out and export we create better jobs and lay the foundation for stronger long-term economic growth here at home.”
Test Logic, Inc. is a small, growing manufacturer that designs, manufactures and supplies engine testing equipment. They recently won a contract that will enable them to begin exporting their products, which has already resulted in new jobs and will likely result in more hires in the future.
DeLauro is a longtime supporter of boosting Connecticut’s manufacturing sector to help grow the economy and ensure a supply of middle-class jobs. She has worked with the New Haven Manufacturers Association on a bill, the Manufacturing Reinvestment Account Act, to provide a tax incentive for small manufacturers to invest in their infrastructure, machinery and job training.
