DeLauro Works to Help CT Families, Towns Coping with Record Winter
Washington, DC— Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3), Ranking Member on the Labor, Health, and Human Services Appropriations Subcommittee, released the following statement urging Connecticut residents to be mindful of severe winter weather conditions and how to get assistance if needed.
"I have reached out to Governor Malloy about the record-setting weather we have seen in Connecticut this winter and offered my assistance in helping to secure any needed federal resources so that we ensure Connecticut can effectively manage this adverse weather.
"The power outages, flooding, icy conditions, record snowfalls we have seen recently have made for difficult conditions, especially for our already budget-conscious cities. I urge people to use caution, especially when traveling, and to ensure they are prepared for any further snow emergencies. I will continue to work with local, state, and federal officials to ensure people are getting the help they need, and urge anyone requiring assistance to contact my office at (203) 562-3718."
