Rosa DeLauro Statement on the Passing of Senator Daniel Inouye

WASHINGTON,DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) issued the following statement tonight onthe passing of Hawaii Senator Daniel Inouye:

"Welost a giant of the Senate today. Senator Inouye was a legend,sacrificing for his country in World War II and then serving Hawaii and thenation so well in Congress. He was a leader on cancer research, alwaysfighting for attention and resources on that, national security and the manyother issues he was so passionate about. Putting together Appropriationsbills will not be the same without him. My thoughts and prayers are withhis family in this difficult time."
