DeLauro Announces $4.1 million in Recovery Funding for Military Facility Improvement
$1.6 million for facilities in 3rd Congressional District
Washington, DC – Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (Conn. -3) announced that Connecticut will receive nearly $4.1 million for improvements to military facilities through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, including $1.6 million for facilities in New Haven, Stratford and Waterbury.
"This funding for Connecticut will ensure we make much needed improvements, including critical repairs and increased energy efficiency, to our military facilities. In doing so we are not only creating jobs and economic development, but are helping to improve the quality of life for our troops and their families," said DeLauro.
Funding for military facilities in the 3rd Congressional District include:
ARMY
New Haven AFRC Install Energy Management System $82,000
Stratford Armory OMS 9 Install Energy Management System $55,000
Waterbury Armory Install Energy Management System $218,000
NAVY & MARINE CORPS
New Haven Center & Site Repairs $1,248,000
