DeLauro Announces $4.8 million Grant for Improving Tweed-New Haven Airport Taxiway

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (CT – 3) announced that the Tweed-New Haven Airport Authority has been awarded a $4.8 million grant for the extension and rehabilitation of the airport's taxiway. These structural improvements will dramatically increase Tweed-New Haven Airport's efficiency, allowing more planes, in a shorter period of time, to land safely.

"As an economic driver, Tweed-New Haven Airport is a tremendous asset to the region. By strengthening the airport's efficiency and safety, this grant means improved safety for nearby residents, as well as an increase in commerce that will ultimately benefit workers in the region," stated DeLauro.
