DeLauro Congratulates Orange’s Capt. Kristen Griest on Completing Army Ranger School

NEW HAVEN, CT—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) released the following statement today congratulating Capt. Kristen Griest on completing the prestigious Army Ranger School. Griest is a native of Orange, Connecticut, part of DeLauro’s district.

“Congratulations to Capt. Griest, as well as 1st Lt. Shaye Haver, on being the first two women to complete Army Ranger School. Being able to excel in the intense training and rigorous atmosphere demanded of Rangers is a tremendous accomplishment. I could not be prouder that Capt. Griest comes from Connecticut. Serving our country is one of the most honorable things anyone can do and she is serving with distinction. She has a promising career ahead of her and I look forward to hearing about her accomplishments for many years to come.”
