DeLauro Continues To Support Lockheed Martin Purchase of Sikorsky

WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) released the following statement today after the Department of Defense announced concerns with mergers and acquisitions between prime contractors, such as Lockheed Martin and Sikorsky. DeLauro represents Sikorsky’s home of Stratford.

“Lockheed Martin is the right home for Sikorsky. Lockheed Martin does not presently make helicopters, and they are committed to both the military and commercial helicopter business. I look forward to seeing Lockheed’s $9 billion purchase of Sikorsky go through and the world’s best helicopters continue to be built in Stratford.”
