DeLauro Hails $380,615 to Expand High Quality Health Care in 3rd District
NEW HAVEN, CT—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) announced today that four health centers in Connecticut’s Third Congressional District have been awarded $380,615 in Affordable Care Act funding. “This funding is great news for these four health centers, all of which ensure that patients get the highest quality care. The award, made possible by the landmark health care reform legislation that I was proud to support five years ago, will help them continue to provide comprehensive primary care to some of Connecticut’s most vulnerable communities.”
Community Health Center received Electronic Health Record (EHR) Reporters and Health Center Quality Leaders awards. Cornell Scott received Clinical Quality Improvers and Health Center Quality Leaders awards. Fair Haven received Health Center Quality Leaders, Access Enhancers and High Value Health Centers awards. Staywell received Clinical Quality Improvers, Health Center Quality Leaders and National Quality Leaders awards.

Clinical Quality Improvers awards were given for improvement in one or more clinical quality measures between 2013 and 2014. Access Enhancers awards were given for increasing the total number of patients served and the number of patients receiving comprehensive services between 2013 and 2014. High Value Health Centers awards were given for improving cost efficient care compared to the national average, while also increasing the quality of care and improving access to comprehensive services. National Quality Leaders awards were given for meeting or exceeding national clinical quality benchmarks.
