DeLauro Statement on Israel-Hezbollah Ceasefire Deal

Today, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) released a statement on the Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire deal:

“I applaud the Biden Administration for their work to end hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah. This ceasefire is a critical step forward in restoring stability in the region and allowing innocent civilians to return to their homes and rebuild their lives. 

“The Biden Administration must build on this progress and bring renewed focus to a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, to bring all the hostages home, and to deliver a massive surge in humanitarian aid to Gaza. This will put us on a path towards a Palestinian state, achieving peace in the region, and ensuring Israel’s long-term security.”
