DeLauro Statement on Possible Swine Flu Cases in CT
Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (Conn. -3) issued the following statement on reports that the swine influenza A (H1N1) may have reached Connecticut.
"With cases of the swine influenza increasing, including two possible cases in Connecticut that have been sent to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for testing, it is important for people to know that every effort is being made to address the spread of this disease. My office has spoken with the Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Department of Agriculture and will remain in close contact with them and other federal agencies involved with responding to this situation. I look forward to reviewing the Obama Administration's request for additional funding to address the swine influenza and I stand ready to assist the state of Connecticut with any resources or assistance they may need."
