DeLauro Statement on Safe Gun Storage

WASHINGTON, DC – (January 18, 2019)Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) today released the following statement on new gun storage safety legislation.

"The Song family's story about their son Ethan's untimely death is tragic. Every year, we lose far too many kids too soon because of unsecured guns. Guns and ammunition must be stored safely in people's homes—whether that are loaded or unloaded. The Song family is brave beyond words to honor their son's memory through legislation at the state and federal level that will prevent more senseless losses like his. I will support them along with my colleagues in the House and Senate every step of the way."
