DeLauro Statement on Supreme Court Sandy Hook Lawsuit Decision

WASHINGTON, DC — (November 12, 2019) Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) released the following statement after the United States Supreme Court allowed a lawsuit by survivors and relatives of those killed in the Sandy Hook shooting against Remington Arms to move forward.

"Today's decision by the Supreme Court will allow the families of those killed during the Sandy Hook massacre to seek justice. This would not have been possible without the tireless advocacy from parents, relatives, and organizations who have never let up in the fight. Although it has taken many years, this is a positive development. Gun manufacturers like Remington need to take responsibility for their role in the epidemic of gun violence plaguing our communities."
