DeLauro Statement on Wesleyan Shooting

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (Conn. -3) issued the following statement on the on situation in Middletown and the efforts to capture Wesleyan shooter suspect.

"This is a challenging time for our community – for Wesleyan, Middletown and the family and friends of Johanna Justin-Jinich. I want to express my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Johanna – my thoughts and prayers are with you.

"I have been in touch with Middletown Mayor Sebastian Giuliano, Police Chief Lynn Baldoni and Wesleyan President Michael S. Roth and they know that I stand ready to assist them with anything they might need. They, as well as our law enforcement officials, are to be commended for their quick response and continued vigilance."
