DeLauro Welcomes Final Approval of Lockheed Martin Purchase of Sikorsky

WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) released the following statement today applauding the news that China’s commerce ministry has approved Lockheed Martin’s $9 billion purchase of Sikorsky. This was the last approval needed for the sale to be completed. DeLauro represents Sikorsky’s home of Stratford.

“Lockheed Martin is the right home for Sikorsky and will be a great fit for this legendary Connecticut company. I welcome Lockheed Martin to the helicopter business and look forward to working with them as they deliver the world’s best helicopters to our brave men and women in the Armed Forces.
