Dodd Continues Connecticut Prescriptions for Change Listening Tour with White House Director of Health Reform
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT), a senior member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, and Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3), a member of the Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies of the House Appropriations Committee, will host Nancy-Ann DeParle, Director of the White House Office of Health Reform, in Connecticut for Dodd's fourth Connecticut Prescriptions for Change event on Saturday.
Dodd, DeLauro and DeParle will hear first hand from the people of Connecticut about their experiences and ideas for improving our nation's health care system. The town hall discussion will be held at Griffin Hospital in Derby and moderated by Kevin Lembo, Connecticut's Healthcare Advocate.
"I am excited that Nancy-Ann DeParle will be joining Congresswoman DeLauro and me for this final event to share her ideas and those of President Obama regarding health care reform," said Dodd. "Throughout this tour, I have met and heard from hundreds of constituents across the state and I will be sharing all of the testimony that I have heard throughout this tour with Nancy-Ann, President Obama and my colleagues as we begin to craft health care reform legislation that builds on what works and fixes what does not."
"This forum is another opportunity for me to hear from Connecticut residents about the challenges they are facing with health care and the different components that need to make up reform," said DeLauro.
