NEW HAVEN, CT—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) and Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy today announced the Allingtown Fire District has been awarded a federal grant for $19,610. The district, part of West Haven, will use the funds to buy nine complete sets of turnout gear and a new thermal imaging camera for its first responders.

NEW HAVEN, CT—In a visit to Milford’s Spectrum Associates, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) unveiled the Rosoboronexport Embargo Act of 2014. The bill would prohibit any federal government funds from going to the company that accounts for 80 percent of Russia’s arms exports.

WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) released the following statement today on the supplemental appropriations bill before the House of Representatives. The bill provides $405 million toward increased law enforcement efforts to process unaccompanied children in immigration courts and just $197 million for providing shelter and care of these minors traveling alone.

The final rule is largely based on the HACCP-Based Inspection Models Project (HIMP), which DeLauro and Slaughter have raised strong objections to previously.
