WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) released the following statement today on Governor Dannel Malloy’s announcement that United Technologies Corporation (UTC) has committed to investing $500 million over five years in Connecticut. UTC also committed to keeping its Pratt & Whitney division headquarters in the state for 15 years, though it only made the same commitment to keeping its Sikorsky headquarters in Stratford for five years.

The project, critical for local businesses, is due to be completed February 14. DeLauro played a crucial role in obtaining federal funding for the project.
