House Appropriations Committee Chair Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) today announced $552,500 in federal grants for NeighborWorks affordable housing developments in Connecticut’s Third Congressional District. Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven, Inc., (NHS) and Mutual Housing Association of South Central Connecticut, Inc., will receive $290,000 and $262,500, respectively. The major federal award comes as the coronavirus pandemic has increased the need for safe, affordable housing across Connecticut.

Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03), Chair of the House Appropriations Committee, today announced that her Legislative Director Liz Albertine will succeed Leticia Mederos as Chief of Staff. Leticia Mederos is retiring after 22 years of service. Additionally, after serving as part of DeLauro’s legislative staff since 2017, Christian Lovell will succeed Liz Albertine as Legislative Director.
