(Washington, DC) – The Connecticut Congressional delegation released the following statement today in response to the Department of Transportation announcement that it will invest nearly $800 million to improve travel along the Northeast Corridor and that the State of Connecticut will receive an additional $30 million to put toward the completion of the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield high speed rail line.

The grant is part of the Continuum ofCare Homeless Assistance awards, which provides funding for assistanceprograms for homeless persons including transitional and permanenthousing, and supportive services.
