WASHINGTON —Today, US Representative Rosa DeLauro, along with 43 other Catholic Democratic members of Congress, released the following Statement of Principles regarding immigration enforcement:

“As Catholic Democrats in Congress, we are guided by a living Catholic tradition that affirms the dignity of every human life, advances the common good, and demands that we protect the most vulnerable in our society through a strong and compassionate safety net.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee, along with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Ranking Member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, introduced legislation that would ensure the United States finally joins virtually every other major country on Earth in guaranteeing paid sick leave to its workers. 

Sanders and DeLauro were joined on the legislation by 29 Senators and by 138 House members.
