NEW HAVEN, CT—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) today marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month by calling for passage of the Breast Density and Mammography Reporting Act. The bill, introduced by DeLauro last year, would help raise awareness of breast cancer risks, the importance of appropriate screening.

McDonald is extending benefits for 10 Connecticut veterans to stay at Seacrest Retirement Home and HighVue Manor for an additional year. Without Secretary McDonald’s intervention they would have lost their benefits that allowed them to stay at the facilities.

NEW HAVEN, CT—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) applauded the West Haven Housing Authority today for receiving a $99,886 federal grant to alleviate veteran homelessness. That money means 12 vouchers will be available to get veterans off the streets or out of shelters and into a permanent home.
