NEW HAVEN, CT—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) led 204 House Democrats in calling on Speaker Boehner not to push more Americans into hunger. In a letter, they implored the Speaker to include funding for nutrition programs in any future Farm Bill that comes before the House of Representatives. Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi issued a statement supporting the letter.

NEW HAVEN, CT—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) released the following statement today after Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan announced the Department has approved Connecticut's plan for $71,820,000 million in funding for Hurricane Sandy recovery. The State of Connecticut will now send applications for assistance to Sandy victims and evaluate completed applications to determine what state residents and business owners are eligible.
