Will Accompany Him into the House Chamber This Morning

WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) announced today that she has been selected to serve on the Escort Committee for Pope Francis’ address to Congress this morning. DeLauro was asked to serve on the Committee, which will accompany Pope Francis along the center aisle en route to the rostrum where he will deliver his speech, by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

NEW HAVEN, CT--Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) released the following statement today on the sentencing of Stewart and Michael Parnell, former executives at the Peanut Corporation of America. DeLauro is the former chair, and currently serves as a senior member, of the subcommittee responsible for funding the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). DeLauro called for a Department of Justice investigation into Peanut Corporation of America in January 2009.

NEW HAVEN, CT—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) released the following statement today on a newly released Association of American Universities report showing that more than one in five female undergraduate students at 27 of our nation’s top universities have suffered a sexual attack.
