This legislation calls for adding 50,000 additional police officers on the street over the next 5 years – authorizing $1.25 billion a year for COPS (Community Oriented Policing Services) hiring grants.

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (Conn. -3) announced $48 million for the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for clean water efforts throughout the state.
The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection will receive $1.73 million through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to support clean diesel projects and loan programs to address the nation's existing fleet of over 11 million diesel engines.
