“This afternoon, I received a bomb threat similar to my colleagues in the Connecticut congressional delegation. The New Haven Police Department’s bomb squad has responded and determined no bomb was present at our home. I am thankful for their swift response and relieved no one was harmed. 

“I am grateful for local, state, and federal law enforcements efforts to keep me, my colleagues, and our community safe today.”

“I applaud the Biden Administration for their work to end hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah. This ceasefire is a critical step forward in restoring stability in the region and allowing innocent civilians to return to their homes and rebuild their lives. 

Today, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) led a letter with 22 House lawmakers to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) urging the agency to finalize a ban on the carcinogenic food dye FD&C Red No. 3, known as Red 3, in the use of foods. 

Today, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) sent a letter to the Food and Drug Administration’s Deputy Commissioner for Human Foods Jim Jones urging him to increase public awareness of the benefits of human donor milk and potential benefits of human milk-derived human milk fortifier for Very Low Birth Weight infants. Specifically, the lawmaker noted the increase in the litigation connecting traditional cow’s milk-derived fortifier and necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) in certain infant formula brands.
