Potential contract award in June supports our troops and CT workforce

WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) released the following statement today in response to the Air Force announcement of intent to award the Combat Rescue Helicopter contract. DeLauro spoke with Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James about the contract this afternoon. The contract would support the manufacture of 112 helicopters by Sikorsky’s workers.

The changes announced today will also better equip families to purchase foods that meet their cultural requirements. DeLauro is a former chairwoman of the subcommittee that funds the United States Department of Agriculture, which administers WIC.

Includes Added Sugar Requirement She Has Long Advocated

UTC also committed to keeping its Pratt & Whitney division headquarters in the state for 15 years, though it only made the same commitment to keeping its Sikorsky headquarters in Stratford for five years.
