"I am strongly opposed to this latest plan for a Republican Government Shutdown.  We are now only hours away from a shutdown of the federal government that will damage our economy and make life harder for millions of families, especially families living on the edge.

WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) released the following statement today on the release of a two year study, Confronting Commercial Sexual Exploitation and Sex Trafficking of Minors in the United States. The report details the need for a collaborative approach to fighting sexual exploitation and sex trafficking of minors, as well as the need to confront the demand side of these crimes.

WASHINGTON, DC—Connecticut Representatives Rosa DeLauro and Elizabeth Esty announced today that the City of Waterbury has been awarded $2,843,381 in federal grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The grants were awarded by the office of Community Planning and Development (CPD). DeLauro and Esty each represent a portion of Waterbury.
