The Improvingthe Juvenile Justice System for Girls Act of 2013 creates a grant categorythat states could apply for to help support gender-specific programs for girlsin the justice system.

For the next year her piece will represent the Third Congressional District of Connecticut in the United States Capitol. Rachel is a student at the Cooperative Arts and Humanities High School in New Haven.
