Washington, D.C. – The National Governor's Association endorsed the creation of a National Infrastructure Bank, joining the broad coalition supporting Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro's (CT-3) National Infrastructure Development Bank Act. DeLauro spoke about the legislation at the Association's 101st Annual Meeting in Biloxi, Mississippi.
"I am delighted that the National Governor's Association has endorsed the National Infrastructure Bank," DeLauro stated.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (Conn. – 3) introduced the Post-9/11 Veterans Job Training Act to expand the opportunities under the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill to include a subsidy for on the job training and apprenticeship programs on par with that offered through the Montgomery G.I. Bill, which would allow those veterans who do not pursue an academic course of study opportunities to advance in their jobs, whether they are with private sector companies, local law enforcement or otherwise, just as previous veterans have.

DeLauro (CT - 3) praised the inclusion of the "Reducing the Need for Abortions Initiative" in the Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations bill for Fiscal Year 2010. The $7.8 abortion reduction package is focused on preventing unintended pregnancies, reducing the need for abortion in our country, while also providing economic supports for women who choose to carry a child to term.
