Renews Push for Increased Wages with the Raise the Wage Act
WASHINGTON, DC –Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) today renewed her push for increased wages by cosponsoring the Raise the Wage Act. The bill would raise the minimum wage to $12.00 by the year 2020 and index the minimum wage to the median wage starting in 2021.

Proposal Released Over One Year Ago
WASHINGTON, DC—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) today urged Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Acting Commissioner Stephen Ostroff to finalize a rule that would ban e-cigarettes from being sold to minors. DeLauro had previously urged then-FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg to finalize the rule by last Saturday, April 25, which marked one year from when it was first proposed.
NEW HAVEN, CT—Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) today unveiled legislation inspired by the plight of veterans at the Seacrest and HighVue retirement homes. The Veterans Residential Care Choice Act would allow the Veterans Administration (VA) to pay for eligible veterans to live at residential care facilities, such as Seacrest and HighVue. The VA can currently help veterans find a residential care facility to live in, but veterans and their families have to shoulder the cost themselves.
