Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03), Chair of the House Appropriations Committee, issued the following statement in response to news that the Abbott Nutrition facility responsible for the February recall of infant formula would reopen and resume infant formula manufacturing operations.

Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) today sent a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) requesting an investigation into the enforcement discretion process and decisions being made by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding the importation of infant formula from non-FDA approved facilities abroad.
