Washington, D.C (September 26, 2017) – Today, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) joined with House Democratic colleagues in signing a petition to force a vote on the bipartisan DREAM Act, which would provide a permanent solution to allow young undocumented immigrants brought here as children to remain in this country legally. If the petition is signed by a majority of Members, the House would be forced to take a vote on this legislation. DeLauro also urged Republicans to participate in this effort to force a vote.

WASHINGTON, DC (September 26, 2017) Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) released the following statement urging Congress to pass the Medical Device Safety Act, which would enhance legal protection for victims of unsafe medical devices. Currently, high risk device manufacturers are protected from being held liable at the state and local levels if their device has received premarket approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

GUILFORD, CT (September 22, 2017) — Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) and U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) and Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) announced $1,560,526 in federal funding to the Town of Guilford from the Federal Emergency Management Administration's (FEMA) Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) program. The funding will allow the Guilford Fire Department to hire 8 new firefighters.
